Abu Khattab Qatadah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I asked Anas: "Did the Companions of Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) use to shake hands?'' He said: "Yes.''

Qatàda a dit: «J"ai dit à Anas: «Est-ce que les Compagnons du Messager de Dieu (bsdl) se serraient la main?» Il dit: «Oui». (Rapporté par Al Boukhâri)

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: When the people of Yemen came, the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "The people of Yemen have visited you. They are the first to introduce the tradition of handshaking."

Anas (das) a dit: «Quand arrivèrent les Yéménites, le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) dit: «Voici venus à vous les gens du Yémen et ce sont les premiers à vous apporter la coutume de vous serrer la main». (Rapporté par Abou Dawùd)

Al-Bara' (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "Two Muslims will not meet and shake hands without having their sins forgiven (by Allah ) before they depart."

Selon Al Barà (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «Dès que deux Musulmans qui se rencontrent se serrent la main. Dieu les absout de leurs péchés avant qu"ils ne se quittent». (Rapporté par Abou Dawùd)

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man asked: "O Messenger of Allah! When a man meets a brother or a friend, should he bow to him?" He said, "No." The man asked whether he should embrace and kiss him? The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) replied, "No." He asked whether he should hold his hand and shake it? The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) replied, "Yes."

[At-Tirmidhi].

Anas (das) rapporte: «Quelqu"un dit une fois: «O Messager de Dieu! Quand l"un de nous rencontre son frère (ou son ami), est-ce qu"il s"incline devant lui?» Il lui dit: «Non». Il dit: «Est-ce qu"il se colle à lui et l"embrasse?» Il dit: «Non». Il dit: «Est-ce qu"il lui prend la main et la lui serre?» Il dit: «Oui». (Rapporté par Attirmidhi)

Safwan bin 'Assal (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A Jew asked his companion to take him to the Prophet (Peace be upon him); and when they came to the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him), they asked him about the nine clear signs (given to Prophet Musa). Safwan narrated the long Hadith which concludes: They kissed the hands and feet of the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) and said: "We testify that you are a Prophet."

[At-Tirmidhi]

Safwàn Ibn "Assàl (das) rapporte: «Un Juif dit à son compagnon: «Allons donc voir ce prophète!» Ils allèrent donc au Messager de Dieu (bsdl) et l"interrogèrent sur neuf signes évidents. Safwàn cita tout le Hadith jusqu"à ces mots: «Ils lui baisèrent la main et le pied en disant: «Nous attestons que tu es Prophète». (Rapporté par Attirmidhi)

In a narration of Ibn Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) at the end of the narration of the Hadith ) he said: "We came near the Prophet (Peace be upon him) and kissed his hand."

Ibn "Omar (das) rapporte une histoire où il dit entre autres: «Nous nous sommes alors approchés du Prophète (bsdl) et nous lui baisâmes la main». (Rapporté par Abou Dawùd)

'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: Zaid bin Harithah came to the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) when he was in my house. Zaid knocked at the door. The Prophet (Peace be upon him) rose to receive him, trailing his garment. He embraced and kissed him.

[At- Tirmidhi].

"Âisha (das) rapporte: «Zeyd Ibn Hâritha vint à Médine alors que le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) était chez moi. Il vint frapper à sa porte. Le Prophète (bsdl) se leva à sa rencontre en laissant traîner son manteau. Il lui donna l"accolade et l"embrassa». (Rapporté par Attirmidhi)

Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said to me, "Do not belittle any good deed, even your meeting with your brother (Muslim) with a cheerful face."

Selon Abou Dharr (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit; «Ne méprise aucune bonne action, si petite soit-elle, quand ce ne serait que de rencontrer ton frère avec un visage détendu». (Rapporté par Moslem)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) kissed his grandson Hasan bin 'Ali in the presence of Aqra' bin Habis. Thereupon Aqra' remarked: "I have ten children and I have never kissed any one of them." The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) cast a glance upon him and said, "He who does not show mercy to others, will not be shown mercy."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Abou Hourayra (das) a dit: «Le Prophète (bsdl) embrassa une fois (son petit fils) Al Hasan Ibn "Ali (das). Al Aqra" Ibn Hàbes lui dit: «J"ai dix enfants et je n"en ai jamais embrassé aucun». Le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) lui dit; «Celui qui n"est pas miséricordieux ne reçoit lui-même aucune miséricorde».
