Here (i.e. in Mecca) there was a man called Nawwas and he had camels suffering from the disease of excessive and unquenchable thirst. Ibn `Umar went to the partner of Nawwas and bought those camels. The man returned to Nawwas and told him that he had sold those camels. Nawwas asked him, To whom have you sold them? He replied, To such and such Sheikh. Nawwas said, Woe to you; By Allah, that Sheikh was Ibn `Umar. Nawwas then went to Ibn `Umar and said to him, My partner sold you camels suffering from the disease of excessive thirst and he had not known you. Ibn `Umar told him to take them back. When Nawwas went to take them, Ibn `Umar said to him, Leave them there as I am happy with the decision of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) that there is no oppression .

Directement de Ali, directement de Sufyân, de 'Amrû qui dit: «II y avait là un homme appelé Nawwâs et qui avait des chamelles qui souffraient continuellement de la soif. «Ibn 'Umar (radiallahanho) vint acheter ces chamelles d'un associé à Nawwâs. «En arrivant, l'associé dit à ce dernier: Je viens de vendre les chamelles. — A qui? demanda Nawwâs. — A un vieux, répondit l'associé [en faisant la description d'ibn 'Umar]. — Malheur à toi! par Allah, c'est ibn 'Umar. Sur ce, Nawwâs alla voir ibn 'Umar et lui dire: Mon associé t'a vendu des chamelles souffrant continuellement de la soif, il ne t'a pas connu. — Prendsles donc, dit ibn 'Umar. Mais quand Nawwâs était sur le point de conduire les bêtes ibn 'Umar lui dit: Laisseles! nous acceptons le jugement du Messager d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa sallam) [qui avait dit]: il n'y a pas de contagion... » Sufwân avait entendu 'Umar... 'Imrân ibn Husayn reprouva la vente [des armes] durant les subversions.

':'Telah menceritakan kepada kami 'Ali bin 'Abdullah telah menceritakan kepada kami Sufyan berkata 'Amru berkata: 'Dahulu disini ada seseorang yang bernama Nawas ia memiliki unta yang sakit. Lalu Ibnu 'Umar radliallahu 'anhuma datang untuk membeli unta tersebut melalui seorang temannya lalu temannya itu berkata: 'Kami telah menjual unta itu'. Ia (Nawas) bertanya: 'Kepada siapa kamu menjualnya?. Ia menjawab: 'Kepada seorang syeikh begini dan begitu'. Ia (Ibnu 'Umar) berkata: 'Celaka engkau demi Allah orang itu adalah Ibnu 'Umar'. Lalu iapun menemuinya dan berkata: 'Sesungguhnya temanku telah menjual kepadamu unta yang sakit sedangkan ia tidak menjelaskannya kepadamu'. Kata (Ibnu 'Umar): 'Kalau begitu ambil saja untamu'. Ketika Nawas akan mengambilnya Ibnu 'Umar berkata: 'Biarkanlah kami ridha dengan keputusan Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam yang beliau bersabda 'Sesungguhnya tidak penyakit yang menular dengan sendiri '. Sufyan mendengar ini dari 'Amru.'
