'Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "The deceased is tortured in his grave for bewailing over him."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Selon "Omar Ibn Al Khattàb (das), le Prophète (bsdl) a dit: «Le mort est tourmenté dans sa tombe pour les lamentations qu"on prononce sur lui». Dans une autre version: «Aussi longtemps qu"on se lamente sur lui».

Hadith 1658 - Bab 302 (Prohibition of Bewailing the Deceased)
Chapter 18 (The Book of the Prohibited actions)

Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "He who (on befalling a calamity) slaps his cheeks, tears his clothes and follows the ways and traditions of the Days of Ignorance is none of us."

Selon Ibn Mas"ùd (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «Ne fait pas [ partie de notre communauté celui qui se frappe les joues, qui déchire ses vêtements et qui appelle sur lui-même le malheur à la manière de l"obscurantisme préislamique». (URA)

: : هذه القراءةُ حاسوبية، وما زالت قيدُ الضبطِ والتطوير،    1659 وَعنْ أبي بُرْدةَ قَالَ: وَجِعَ أبُو مُوسَى الأشعريُّ رضي اللَّه عنه، فَغُشِيَ علَيْهِ، وَرَأْسُهُ فِي حِجْرِ امْرأَةٍ مِنْ أهْلِهِ، فَأَقْبلَتْ تَصِيحُ بِرنَّةٍ فَلَمْ يَسْتَطِع أنْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهَا شَيْئاً، فَلَمَّا أفَاقَ، قَال: أنَا بَرِيءٌ مِمَّنْ بَرِئَ مِنْهُ رسُولُ اللَّه صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم, أنَّ رسُولُ اللَّه صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم بَرِيء مِنَ الصَّالِقَةِ، والحَالَقةِ، والشَّاقَّةَ، متفقٌ عليه.
"الصَّالِقَةُ": الَّتِي تَرْفَعُ صوْتَهَا بالنِّياحةِ والنَّدْبِ"والحَالِقَةُ": الَّتِي تَحْلِقُ رَأسَهَا عِنْدَ المُصِيبَةِ."والشَّاقَّةُ"الَّتي تَشُقُّ ثَوْبَهَا.

Abu Burdah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: (My father) Abu Musa got seriously ill and lost his consciousness. His head was in the lap of a woman of the family and she began to wail. When Abu Musa recovered his consciousness, he said: "I am innocent of those from whom Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) is innocent. Verily, the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) declared himself free of (the responsibility) for a woman who wails, shaves her head and tears up her clothes."

Abou Bourda rapporte: «Abou Musa fut saisi d"une douleur et il en perdit connaissance, cependant que sa tête reposait sur le genou de l"une de ses femmes. Cette dernière se mit à pousser des cris de désespoir. Il ne put alors lui faire aucun reproche mais dès qu"il revint à lui de son évanouissement il dit: «Je désavoue tout ce qu"a desavoué le Messager de Dieu (bsdl): celle qui se lamente à voix haute, qui se rase les cheveux et se déchire les vêtements (en signe de désespoir et de révolte)».

Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) saying, "He who allows (others) to wail over his death, will be punished for it on the Day of Resurrection."

Al Moughyra Ibn Sho"ba (das) rapporte: «J"ai entendu dire le Messager de Dieu (bsdl): «Celui sur qui on pleure à haute voix sera tourmenté pour ces lamentations le jour de la résurrection».

Umm 'Atiyyah (May Allah be pleased with her) said: At the time of giving the pledge of allegiance, the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) took from us an oath that we would not wail.

Oummou "Atiya Nouseyba (das) rapporte: «Lors de notre prestation d"allégeance, Le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) prit sur nous l"engagement de ne plus nous lamenter (sur les morts)».

An-Nu'man bin Bashir (May Allah be pleased with them) said: When 'Abdullah bin Rawahah (May Allah be pleased with him) became unconscious, his sister began to weep and shout: "Alas! For the mountain among men. Alas! for such and such (mentioning his virtuous qualities)." When he recovered his consciousness, he said: "I was asked (disapprovingly, by the angels) about everything you said concerning me whether I am as you said."

Annou"màn Ibn Bashir (das) rapporte: «"Abdullàh Ibn Rawàha perdit connaissance. Sa sœur se mit à pleurer et à dire: «Oh mon deuil pour mon seigneur! Oh mon deuil pour ma montagne!» énumérant ainsi ses qualités. A son " réveil il dit: «Pour chacun des noms que tu m"as attribués on m"a demandé brutalement: «Est-ce que tu l"étais vraiment?» (Rapporté par Al Boukhàri)

: : هذه القراءةُ حاسوبية، وما زالت قيدُ الضبطِ والتطوير،    1663 وَعَن ابن عُمر رضي اللَّه عنْهُمَا قَال: اشْتَكَى سعْدُ بنُ عُبادَةَ رضي اللَّه عنْهٍُ شَكْوَى، فَأَتَاهُ رسُولُ اللَّه صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم يعُودُهُ معَ عبْدِ الرَّحْمنِ بنِ عوْفٍ، وسَعْدِ بنِ أَبي وقَّاص، وعبْدِ اللَّه بن مسْعُودٍ رضي اللَّه عنْهمْ، فَلَمَّا دخَلَ عليْهِ، وجدهُ في غَشْيةٍ فَقالَ: "أقضَى؟ قَالُوا: لا يا رسُولَ اللَّه. فَبَكَى رسُولُ اللَّه صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم. فَلمَّا رَأى الْقَوْمُ بُكاءَ النَّبيِّ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم بَكَوْا، قَالَ:"ألاَ تَسْمعُون؟ إنَّ اللَّهُ لاَ يُعَذِّبُ بِدمْعِ الْعَيْنِ، وَلاَ بِحُزْنِ الْقَلْبِ، ولَكِنْ يُعذِّبُ بِهذَا "وَأشَارَ إلَى لِسانِهِ"أوْ يَرْحَمُ" متفقٌ عليه.

Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) visited Sa'd bin 'Ubadah during his illness. He was accompanied by 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Auf, Sa'd bin Abu Waqqas and 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with them). When they entered his house, they found him unconscious. The Messenger of Allah asked, "Has he died?" They replied: "No, O Messenger of Allah." Hearing this the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) began to weep. When his Companions saw this, they also began to weep too. He said, "Listen attentively: Allah does not punish for the shedding of tears or the grief of the heart, but takes to task or show mercy because of the utterances of this (and he pointed to his tongue)."

[Al- Bukhari and Muslim].

Ibn "Omar rapporte: «Sa"d Ibn "Oubâda se plaignit d"une grande douleur. Le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) vint lui rendre visite en compagnie de "Abdurahman Ibn "Awf (das), Sa"d Ibn Abi Waqqâs (das) et "Abdullàh Ibn Mas"ùd (das). Quand il entra chez lui, il le trouva évanoui. Il demanda: «Est-il mort?». Ils dirent: «Non, ô Messager de Dieu!» Le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) se mit à pleurer et, quand les gens le virent pleurer, ils en firent de même. Il leur dit: «M"entendez- vous bien? Dieu ne tourmente pas le mort pour les larmes des yeux, ni pour le chagrin du cœur, mais pour celle-ci (désignant la langue). Dans ce cas II tourmente ou se montre clément».

Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "If the wailing woman does not repent before she dies, she will be made to stand on the Day of Resurrection wearing a garment of pitch and a garment of scabies (Allah knows the nature thereof)."

[Muslim].

Selon Abou Màlek Al Ash"ari (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «Quand celle qui se lamente sur les morts ne s"en repent pas avant sa mort, elle est ressuscitée le jour de la résurrection avec un vêtement de goudron et un gilet de gale». (Rapporté par Moslem)

: : هذه القراءةُ حاسوبية، وما زالت قيدُ الضبطِ والتطوير،    1665 وعنْ أُسيدِ بنِ أبي أُسِيدِ التَّابِعِيِّ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنَ المُبايعات قَالَتْ: كَانَ فِيمَا أخَذَ علَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّه صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم، فِي المعْرُوفِ الَّذِي أخذَ علَيْنَا أنْ لاَ نَعْصِيَهُ فِيهِ: أَنْ لا نَخْمِشَ وَجْهاً، ولاَ نَدْعُوَ ويْلاَ، وَلاَ نَشُقَّ جيْباً، وأنْ لاَ نَنْثُر شَعْراً.
رَواهُ أبو داوُدَ بإسْنادٍ حسنٍ.

Chapter 18 (The Book of the Prohibited actions)

Asid bin Abu Usaid reported: A woman who had taken a pledge of allegiance at the hand of the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said: "Among the matters in respect of which we gave the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) the pledge not to disobey him in any Ma'ruf [i.e., all that Islam ordains (V:60:12)] was that we should not slap our faces, bewail, tear our clothes up and tear out our hair (in grief)."

[Abu Dawud].

Ouseyd Ibn Abi Ouseyd, de la deuxième génération, rapporte ce qu"a dit l"une de celles qui ont fait acte d"allégeance au Messager de Dieu (bsdl): «Parmi les bonnes actions que nous nous sommes engagées à faire vis-à-vis du Messager de Dieu (bsdl) est de ne pas lui désobéir, de ne pas nous griffer le visage (par désespoir et révolte), de ne pas appeler sur nous le malheur, de ne pas déchirer nos vêtements et de ne pas défaire nos coiffures». Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "If anyone dies and the mourner gets up and says: 'Alas! For the mountain among men. Alas! For the chief ...' and such like, Allah will put two angels in charge of him who will beat on the breast and ask him (disapproving): 'Were you like that?' "

[At- Tirmidhi].

Selon Abou Musa (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «Chaque fois que quelqu"un meurt et que le pleureur de la tribu se lève pour dire: «Oh mon deuil pour ma montagne! Oh mon deuil pour mon seigneur!» et autres noms pareils, on charge deux Anges de le pousser brutalement avec leurs poings dans sa poitrine en lui disant: «L"étais-tu vraiment?» (Rapporté par Attirmidhi)
