Some men amongst the companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) were shown in their dreams that the night of Qadr was in the last seven nights of Ramadan. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, It seems that all your dreams agree that (the Night of Qadr) is in the last seven nights, and whoever wants to search for it (i.e. the Night of Qadr) should search in the last seven (nights of Ramadan).

D'après ibn 'Umar (radiallahanho), certains des Compagnons du Prophète (r ) virent en rêve que la nuit de la Destinée avait lieu dans les sept dernières nuits; le Messager d'Allah (r ) dit alors: «Je vois que vos rêves concordent pour les sept dernières nuits. Celui qui veut s'enquérir de la nuit de la Destinée, qu'il s'en enquière dans les sept dernières nuits.»

':'Telah menceritakan kepada kami 'Abdullah bin Yusuf telah mengabarkan kepada kami Malik dari Nafi' dari Ibnu'Umar radliallahu 'anhuma bahwa ada seorang dari sahabat Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam yang menyaksilan Lailatul Qadar dalam mimpi terjadi pada tujuh hari terakhir. Maka Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam berkata: 'Aku memandang bahwa mimpi kalian tentang Lailatul Qadar tepat terjadi pada tujuh malam terakhir maka siapa yang mau mendekatkan diri kepada Allah dengan mencarinya lakukanlah pada tujuh malam terakhir'.'

I asked Abu Sa`id, and he was a friend of mine, (about the Night of Qadr) and he said, We practiced I`tikaf (seclusion in the mosque) in the middle third of the month of Ramadan with the Prophet (ﷺ) . In the morning of the 20th of Ramadan, the Prophet (ﷺ) came and addressed us and said, 'I was informed of (the date of the Night of Qadr) but I was caused to forget it; so search for it in the odd nights of the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan. (In the dream) I saw myself prostrating in mud and water (as a sign). So, whoever was in I`tikaf with me should return to it with me (for another 10-day's period)', and we returned. At that time there was no sign of clouds in the sky but suddenly a cloud came and it rained till rainwater started leaking through the roof of the mosque which was made of date-palm leaf stalks. Then the prayer was established and I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prostrating in mud and water and I saw the traces of mud on his forehead.

D'après Yahya, Abu Salama dit: J'ai interrogé [à ce sujet] Abu Sa'îd, qui était [d'ailleurs] mon ami et il m'a dit: «Nous avons fait avec le Prophète (r ) une retraite spirituelle dans la deuxième décade de ramadan. Au matin du vingtième jour, il est sorti et nous a fait un discours; il a dit: La nuit de la Destinée m'a été montrée en rêve, puis on me l'a fait oublier ('unsîtuha ou nussîtuha, le doute vient du râwî). Acquérezvous d'elle dans la dernière décade parmi les nuits impaires. Je me suis vu dans mon rêve en train de faire le sujûd sur de l'eau et de la boue. Alors celui qui a fait la retraite spirituelle avec le Messager d'Allah (r ) doit rentrer.» Nous étions rentrés alors que nous ne voyions pas le moindre petit nuage. Après quoi, un nuage est arrivé et il a plu si bien que l'eau a coulé par le plafond de la mosquée, qui était fait de branches de palmiers. Et, l'appel de la prière étant lancé, j'ai vu le Messager d'Allah (r ) qui faisait le sujûd sur de l'eau et de la boue si bien que j'ai remarqué la trace de la boue sur son front.» II y a à ce sujet, un hadîth rapporté par 'Ubâda.

':'Telah menceritakan kepada kami Mu'adz bin Fadhalah telah menceritakan kepada kami Hisyam dari Yahya dari Abu Salamah berkata; Aku bertanya kepada Abu Sa'id Al Khudriy yang merupakan salah seorang sahabat karibku. Maka dia berkata: ' Kami pernah ber'i'tikaf bersama Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam pada sepuluh malam pertengahan dari bulan Ramadhan. Kemudian Beliau keluar pada sepuluh malam yang akhir lalu memberikan khuthbah kepada kami dan berkata: 'Sungguh aku diperlihatkan (dalam mimpi) tentang Lailatul Qadar namun aku lupa atau dilupakan waktunya yang pasti. Namun carilah pada sepuluh malam-malam akhir dan pada malam yang ganjil. Sungguh aku melihat dalam mimpi bahwa aku sujud diatas tanah dan air (yang becek). Oleh karena itu siapa yang sudah beri'tikaf bersama Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam maka pulanglah'. Maka kami pun pulang. Dan tidaklah kami melihat awan yang tipis sekalipun di langit hingga kemudian tiba-tiba datang awan yang banyak lalu hujan turun hingga air menetes (karena bocor) lewat atap masjid yang terbuat dari dedaunan kurma. Kemudian setelah shalat (Shubuh) selesai aku melihat Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam sujud diatas air dan tanah yang becek hingga aku melihat sisa-sisanya pada dahi Beliau.'
