Hadith 991 - Bab 180 (The Excellence of Reciting the Qur'an)
Chapter 9 (The Book of Virtues)
Abu Umamah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) saying, "Read the Qur'an, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection."

An-Nawwas bin Sam'an (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) saying, "The Qur'an and its people who applied it, will be brought on the Day of Resurrection preceded with Surat Al-Baqarah and Surat Al-'Imran arguing on behalf of those who applied them."

Abou Oumàma (das) rapporte: «J"ai entendu le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) dire: «Lisez le Coran car il viendra le jour de la résurrection comme intercesseur pour les siens (: ses lecteurs assidus)». (Rapporté par Moslem)

'Uthman bin 'Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "The best amongst you is the one who learns the Qur'an and teaches it."

Annawâs Ibn Sam"an (das) a dit: «J"ai entendu le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) dire: «Le jour de la résurrection on fera venir le Coran et les siens (ses lecteurs assidus) qui le mettaient en pratique dans ce bas-monde. Il est précédé par les chapitres «La vache» et «La famille de "Imràn» qui viendront disputer en faveur de celui qui les lisait et appliquait leurs principes». (Rapporté par Moslem)

'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur'an will be with the honourable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Qur'an and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have a double reward."

Selon "Othmàn Ibn "Affàn (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «Le meilleur d"entre vous est celui qui a appris le Coran et l"a enseigné aux autres». (Rapporté par Al Boukhàri)
995 وعن أَبي موسى الأشْعريِّ رضي اللَّه عنهُ قال: قال رسولُ اللَّهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: "مثَلُ المؤمنِ الَّذِي يقْرَأُ القرآنَ مثلُ الأُتْرُجَّةِ: ريحهَا طَيِّبٌ وطَعمُهَا حلْوٌ، ومثَلُ المؤمنِ الَّذي لاَ يَقْرَأُ القُرْآنَ كَمثَلِ التَّمرةِ: لاَ رِيح لهَا وطعْمُهَا حلْوٌ، ومثَلُ المُنَافِق الَّذِي يَقْرَأُ القرْآنَ كَمثَلِ الرِّيحانَةِ: رِيحها طَيّبٌ وطَعْمُهَا مرُّ، ومَثَلُ المُنَافِقِ الَّذِي لاَ يَقْرَأُ القرآنَ كَمَثلِ الحَنْظَلَةِ: لَيْسَ لَها رِيحٌ وَطَعمُهَا مُرٌّ" متفقٌ عَلَيْهِ.

Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "The believer who recites the Qur'an is like a citron whose fragrance is sweet and whose taste is delicious. A believer who does not recite the Qur'an is like a date-fruit which has no fragrance but has a sweet taste. The hypocrite who recites the Qur'an is like basil whose fragrance is so sweet, but its taste is bitter. The hypocrite who does not recite the Qur'an is like a colocynth which has no fragrance and its taste is bitter."

Selon "Âisha (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «Celui qui lit assidûment le Coran et qui excelle dans sa lecture, sera avec les nobles Anges-Messagers qui ne font qu"obéir à leur Seigneur. Celui qui lit péniblement le Coran et en hésitant dans sa lecture aura quand même deux salaires: (une joie dans ce monde et une joie dans l"autre)».

'Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, "Verily, Allah elevates some people with this Qur'an and abases others."

Selon Abou Musa Al Ash"ari (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «L"image du Croyant qui lit le Coran est celle de l"orange: son odeur est suave et sa saveur est suave. L"image du Croyant qui ne lit pas le Coran est celle de la datte: elle n"a pas d"odeur et elle est douée. L"image de l"hypocrite qui lit le Coran est celle de la plante aromatique: son odeur est bonne et son goût est amer. L"image de l"hypocrite qui ne lit pas le Coran est celle de la coloquinte: elle n"a pas d"odeur et son goût est amer».
"والآناءُ": السَّاعاتُ.

Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: "Envy is justified in regard to two types of persons only: a man whom Allah has given knowledge of the Qur'an, and so he recites it during the night and during the day; and a man whom Allah has given wealth and so he spends from it during the night and during the day."

Selon "Omar Ibn Al Khattàb (das), le Prophète (bsdl) a dit: «Dieu fera élever par ce Livre (le Coran) certaines gens et en rabaissera d"autres». (Rapporté par Moslem)
"الشَّطَنُ"بفتحِ الشينِ المعجمةِ والطاءِ المهملة: الْحَبْلُ.

Al-Bara' bin 'Azib (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: A man was reciting Surat Al-Kahf, and a horse was tied with two ropes beside him. As he was reciting, a cloud overshadowed him, and as it began to come nearer and nearer, the horse began to trample voilently. The man came to the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) in the morning and mentioned the incident to him. He (Peace be upon him) said, "That was tranquillity which descended as a result of the recitation of the Qur'an."

Selon Ibn "Omar (das), le Prophète (bsdl) a dit: «La jalousie n"est permise que dans deux choses:

Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter."

Al Barà Ibn "Âzeb (das) rapporte: «Un homme lisait le chapitre «La caverne» et avait à côté de lui un cheval attaché à deux cordes. Or voici qu"un nuage passa au-dessus de lui et se mit à se rapprocher, ce qui faisait trépider le cheval. Quand ce fut le lendemain matin, il alla raconter la chose au Prophète (bsdl) qui lui dit: «Ce nuage était une sérénité descendue sur toi parce que tu récitais le Coran».

Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, "He who does not memorize any part from the Qur'an he is like the ruined house.''

Selon Ibn Mas"ùd (das), le Messager de Dieu (bsdl) a dit: «Celui qui lit une seule lettre du Coran s"inscrit une bonne action et la bonne action a dix fois son salaire. Je ne dis pas que «alm» (lettres énigmatiques se trouvant au début de certains chapitres du Coran) est une lettre, mais A est une lettre, L est une lettre et M est une lettre».
